Soy Milk has become more and more popular throughout the years. When I went to go buy milk the other day, I stared at the milk selection for a good few minutes before I was able to make my decision. There were so many options! Which one was I supposed to choose? After a few success and failures, I decided to do a taste test for myself. Which milks did I like best, why, and were they really all that different in the end? Let’s find out…
I thought I’d compare vanilla soy milk to very vanilla soy milk. I mean, I’m sure there’s a difference, but it can’t be that big, right?
So as you can see, there are a few similarities and differences ingredient wise.
As for the taste, you could’ve predicted it: vanilla isn’t as sweet as very vanilla. To me, vanilla was OK, but not sweet enough, yet very vanilla was just too sweet. If only there was a “slightly vanilla” or something. 😛
In all honesty, I’d buy either of them again. I think I’d lean more toward the vanilla than very vanilla just because you can always add more sugar, but you can’t take any away. Plus, I won’t be adding any sugar to my milk anytime soon at all.
But after looking at these two, I wanted to compare even more milk! Lol, call me crazy 😛 I’m just trying to start drinking more milk again. I used to drink milk at least once a day every day from the time I was born-high school. I don’t know what happened after, but I just stopped drinking milk altogether at one point.
I’m going to start drinking milk again. But I’ve found my tastes have changed since the last time I drank milk consistently. So until I can figure out what I like, I’m going to experiment with different kinds of milk since there are so many. Stay tuned for more 🙂
