There are some days where I’ll be lost in a moment of how thankful I am for all that I have. This may sound odd but anything can trigger this feeling for me. I could be talking to a friend, overhearing a conversation, or just daydreaming on the train. Sometimes I think we all forget what we’re truly thankful for until it’s too late. Never let it be too late.
I’m thankful for my health.
I’m thankful for my family, friends and co-workers who are always so supportive.
I’m thankful for my dogs, Coco and Chanel. They light up my life and remind me to always be happy, even if I’m having a horrible day.
I’m thankful for the Internet, because this blog wouldn’t exist without it, and that’s how I met all of you lovely bloggers! ❤
I’m thankful for a roof over my head.
I’m thankful for water, although I really should drink more of it.
I’m thankful for access to food.
I’m thankful for public transportation. It has proven to be both reliable and unreliable, but I’m glad it exists because it takes me to important places almost on a daily basis.
I’m thankful for kind people, because they make me want to be just as kind.
I’m thankful for my brain. Without it, I wouldn’t be here right now, in the state I’m in currently.
I’m thankful for at least one steady job and an income.
I’m thankful to be able to support myself financially. We always complain that we never have enough money, but in the end, I think I do have enough for the time being.
I’m thankful for my independence.
I’m thankful I can be dependent on others when I need a shoulder to lean on.
I’m thankful for my education.
I’m thankful I can even think about continuing my education.
I’m thankful to be able to travel.
I’m thankful for songwriters and those who make music. I’ve listened to so many songs that have made me cry because they’ve touched me so. Or songs that hit so close to home, I thought someone wrote it just for me and played it just when I needed to hear those words.
I’m thankful for the hard workers who do things we don’t really think of on a regular basis. These are people who make my clothes, my makeup, my coffee, my food, my shoes, my jewelry, my everything.
I’m thankful to have access to stores to buy both necessities and luxuries.
I’m thankful to have technology in my life. Lord knows I shouldn’t stare at a computer screen/TV screen for as long as I do, but I’d be out of a few jobs if I didn’t.
I’m thankful for snail mail carriers. Without them, I wouldn’t have my lovely snail mail letters + packages I love coming home to.
I’m thankful for more I can’t even begin listing out. I’m so grateful for everything I have. All the opportunities that have crossed my path, and all the missed opportunities that have lead me into other directions. I’m thankful to be exactly where I am today. I’m thankful for all the good things that happen to me, and all the bad things that make me strive harder to become a better person. I’m thankful for my accomplishments and my mistakes. I’m thankful for all my body parts and my eyesight! I’m thankful for so so many things that I could bore you with a longer post.
My point is, remember what you’re thankful for. And don’t do it just because of today’s significant date. Do it on a daily basis. Do it because you should. Do it because it’ll be good for you. Do it because it’ll be good for your soul. Do it because you’ll thank yourself for it later.
Happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for you all. ❤
