Working at ipsy

Hey, all! Just wanted to share a different kind of post today.

I went to school for journalism. And I have every intention to get myself in the fashion and beauty industries one way or another. Right now, one of the jobs I have is working for a company called ipsy. Although I’m not working in journalism, I’m working in the beauty industry, and I couldn’t be happier.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, ipsy is a makeup and beauty company. You may be familiar with it if you’re a Michelle Phan fan.

I wanted to share this video with you because I wanted to show you a bit of my personal life, more than OOTDs and product reviews. I wanted to show you what I do on a daily basis besides blogging.

Watch this video and see how many times you spot me! 😉

Now, I’m not posting this video to advertise for ipsy or Michelle. I’m posting it for my own reasons.

I know I don’t need to reiterate this because I feel like a broken record when I do, but I feel the need to say it anyway: I am in no way sponsoring ipsy or Michelle Phan or any makeup brands in any of my blog posts. None of my posts are sponsored unless I actually make note in the post itself that it is sponsored. I just thought I’d get that out there again so you guys see where I’m coming from and why I’m choosing to share this info with you.

(But feel free to click here to subscribe to ipsy monthly Glam Bags. No pressure though.)

I’ve worked jobs I’ve loved and jobs I didn’t love so much in the past to get myself through school. I worked jobs I loved for the experience and because I honestly loved them. I worked jobs I didn’t love so much for the money I desperately needed. I’m so happy to say that I love my job at ipsy. I love my co-workers and what I do and who I interact with daily. I also love that it’s in a field where I want to end up eventually, doing journalistic things.

I’m sharing this with you because I want you to know that it’s absolutely OK to work jobs you love/don’t love so much. Do what you need to do to get where you want to be in life.

I’m where I want to be at the moment. I’m so thankful for that. ❤
