Don’t you hate when your brows rub off and the day isn’t even over yet? In the winter, my brows would rub against my beanie and/or hood in the snow and my brow game was basically disastrous. I went to a Sephora and an employee told me I needed to get my hands on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Genius.
After a quick search online, I don’t think this is sold on the ABH site or at Sephora anymore. Gasp!
I’m basically almost out, and I’m wondering what I’ll do when that time comes. Well, with the link above, you can purchase it off Amazon if it becomes available again, and I’m sure you can buy it elsewhere. But still. Kind of sand I won’t get my Sephora points for it!
Perhaps it’s discontinued because they have another clear brow gel. I wonder if that’s the same thing! Maybe what they have now online and in stores is comparable or the exact same formula, just repackaged and/or reformulated. I don’t know. Perhaps I need to take a Sephora trip soon…;)
Anyways, the wand is this rubbery, clear scoop-like thing:
At first I hated the wand. If you put the wand straight to your brows, you’re in trouble. Either the product on your brows stick to the wand or too much of the gel goes onto your brows and it’s difficult to spread.
Basically, how I use it is with my finger. I take my finger to the wand and do some quick dabbing and gentle swiping motions onto my brow.
The formula is super thick. It’s basically difficult to get off with makeup remover in just a single swipe. It’s like taking off waterproof mascara.
The longevity of the gel is great! My brows really don’t budge with it on! But you have to be careful with how you apply it.
The first time I applied it, I put way too much gel on. You could see goopy clear chunks in my brows! Ick!
So just be sure you blend well and use a small amount. Either comb it through your brows or do light dabbing motions.
Basically, what I hope is that the ABH clear brow gel online and in stores now is even better than this Beauty Genius. Perhaps I’ll buy it and let you know soon 😉
