I was looking for a powder for when I’m on-the-go. I grabbed this Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 45 because it was small and it had a brush that had powder in it so that 2-in-1 felt like a score.
The product claims to be translucent and I wouldn’t exactly agree. The powder isn’t white; there’s a nude color to it. When I put it on my face, I can definitely see that color, and it takes a lot of blending for it to match my skin tone (I’m so pale I normally am the lightest shade of foundation, and sometimes am even too light for that in certain brands).
I prefer to apply this product and then blend with a clean brush that won’t spew out more product for me, but when you guy this for when you’re on-the-go, sometimes yo don’t want one more brush to add to your makeup bag or purse. So i’ve learned to use this powder sparingly.
It’s great for summer because it helps take the shine/oil away from my face.
One thing I hate about this product is that the brush’s bristles fall every single time I use it. (See photos). I’m not a fan of these bristles.
Overall, I wouldn’t buy this again just because of the powder shade and loose bristles.
I’d like to try something comparable. Suggestions?
