I’m obviously a little late to the game to try the L’OREAL Pure-Clay Detox & Brighten Charcoal Clay Face Mask, but I did it! Finally.
I was all kinds of surprised when I tried this mask.
First, the formula was so much thicker than I expected. I’ve never tried a charcoal mask so dense! The color is obviously gray, but I’d say it’s darker than other charcoal masks I’ve tried.
I applied the formula all over my face and half of my neck. I specifically made sure it covered a pimple I suddenly developed. Funny thing is, I applied the mask over one pimple and not the other. You know what? I discovered the pimples on the same day, and the one that had the mask over it significantly decreased in size compared to the other after I had washed off the formula!
Basically, this mask works on acne, which is all I care about.
It dries relatively quickly and hardens. Washing it off was simple and my face felt soft after.
I’d recommend this mask, however am not sure I’d purchase it again. At $12.99, that’s a little more I’d like to spend on a charcoal mask. But then again, it worked on acne for sure, so I don’t know.
I’d like to try the rest of this L’OREAL mask line, though. So before I’d re-purchase this exact one, I’d try the rest of the line.
