Like other writers you may have read about in books or seen in movies, I dreamed of one day being able to call myself a New Yorker.
I wanted people to read my writing like they read Carrie Bradshaw’s. I wanted to work at a glossy magazine to see if I’d have my own Miranda Priestly.
The thing was, I didn’t feel like I could do that in the Bay Area. So when I got the opportunity to get my Master’s in NY, I took the chance.
I tried to make my teenage dreams come true, and along the way, they changed.
I realized all I wanted to do was write about meaningful things that others could relate to, and it didn’t matter if I was a well-known columnist or worked at a glossy.
Now, I’m living in Brooklyn and trying to figure out life. The core of my dream was always to write, which is still my dream. So that’s what I’ll continue to do.
I want to share my writing with the world. I want to tell other people’s stories. I want my words to be impactful.
So, check out some of my clips.
